DESCRIPTION:
Our professional tour guide and driver pick you up from CHAN MAY Port (INSIDE the port). Please provide us with your Pick up & Drop off Time so we can ensure we meet your cruise ship schedule. Walk a few steps away from the ship and meet our guide who will be holding an A4 sign with your name on it.
Once we have met you, we will depart for the Giant Lady Buddha Statue, the tallest one in Việt Nam, which is located at Linh Ung Pagoda on Sơn Trà Peninsula in Đa Nang. The statue sits on the mountains facing the sea with 17 floors in the statue lặp, each floor has an altar with 21 Buddha statues which have different shapes, facial expressions and postures.
Then, we will take you to visit Marble Mountains, which are five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. From Marble Mountains you can get great city and ocean views and we will explore the natural caves in the mountain and visit the holy pagoda. Your guide will tell you all about the significance of these mountains both spiritually and historically.
After Marble Mountains, we will take you to the world famous city of Hoi An, which is a recognised World Heritage site, located along Thu Bon River. The ancient town has remained unchanged for centuries. Hoi An used to be the international trading port of Champa Kingdom where a wide range of goods were imported and exported, including wood, gold, silk. During this period, Hoi An was the site of trade fairs that attracted lots of merchants from Holland, Portugal, Japan and China, bringing their goods and purchasing goods from the area. In the 18th century, after the river became shallow, Da Nang replaced Hoi An as the trading port.
On the walking tour of the old town, your tour guide will take you to the Japanese bridge, a traditional house, a Chinese Assembly Hall, a cultural and historical museum and the market, along the way explaining the history and architectural features of the buildings.
After our walk, we will take you to a lovely local restaurant for a Vietnamese set menu lunch.
On the way back to the ship, we will stop at My Khe Beach (the R&R beach where US marines landed in and stayed during Viet Nam War.
Then it is back to your ship, to say goodbye. We will ensure that you will get back to the ship one hour before the ship leaves the port.

Shore excursion from port chan may to hoi an
From the first enquiry tommy was responsive and attentive to our needs for the day trip we had envisaged. We were a group of 8 arriving to port and wanted a small group tour rather than the ones organised by the ship company. Tommy required a small deposit pre trip, fully refundable if the ship didn’t make it to port. Tommy with signage was there to meet us at port along with the driver Lu and guide ty. Our mini bus had air con and was modern and comfortable in the heat of vietnam. We spent a wonderful day travelling to Hoi an and back, stopping at sights along the way. Lu’s driving was very safe and ty’s narrative very informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and ty, lu and tommy made sure we were back to port in plenty of time for the ship sailing.
Friendly, trusted, well organized … THE BEST!
I booked Tommy Dao Tours for my Big Family group of 35 persons, a tour to Danang and Hoi An City from Cruise Terminal. Since the first time I contact Tommy, he was very friendly and cooperation with what I want. He also can arrange the tour with my budget and give a good price. The ittinerary was well organized and very clear direction of the meeting point. We all satisfied with the tour. I highly recommended Tommy Dao Tours!
