DESCRIPTION:
Our professional tour guide and driver pick you up from CHAN MAY Port (INSIDE the port). Please provide us with your Pick up & Drop off Time so we can ensure we meet your cruise ship schedule. Walk a few steps away from the ship and meet our guide who will be holding an A4 sign with your name on it.
After leaving the port, our first stop will be at the Hoi An pier, where you will board a covered wooden boat for our trip to Cam Kim (life jackets provided on boat). On Cam Kim, you will first see how the wooden boats are made, the art of wood carving and how rice wine is made.
Then, you will visit some local families, where you will see the art of noodle and rice paper making and sleeping mat making. Once your tutors have shown you how it is done, you will then take turns to see how good your skills are in these particular ancient crafts. This activity is fun and is also a great time to meet and talk to local people.
Leaving Cam Kim behind, we head back to Hoi An City to take a leisurely walk around this amazing World Heritage site, visiting the Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Ancient House, Hoi An Cultural and Historical Museum, Chinese assembly hall, and the Local Market.
It is now time for lunch at a local Hoi An restaurant where you will enjoy lunch with local Authentic Food (Rice Pancake, Spring Rolls, Grilled Pork Satay & Grilled Pork). Vegetarian food can be provided.
On the way back to the ship, we will stop at My Khe Beach which is considered to beone of the most picturesque beaches in Vietnam and was named by the American troops who visited during the War for R & R.
We will then begin our drive back to the Port and we will have you back at least one hour or more before your departure.

Our family of six had an awesome time in Vietnam. Our guide Khanh and driver Trien took GREAT care of us. Khanh was our guide for the day. He was very informative and patient. (I had my 83 year old mom with us.) I had pre-arranged with Tommy that we would not be shopping and just wanted a local experience with minimal walking due to the intense heat. It was great that we were able to customize our stops. The private van was so comfortable and clean. Our time in Vietnam was too short. We will definitely return and use Tommy Dao tour again!
